Homebrew is a type of software that can be played on your DS if you have a flash card. There is a lot of Homebrew software such as:

I have SNEmulDS and NeoDS.
Snes hasn't been emulated well but NeoDS works great.

It's a shame that games on NeoDS can't fit on screen without distorting the image. Still very playable though.
