Does anyone ever still go to the old arcade stores and play the old games? I can go there and play on one game for hours, lol...

Get Brawl that is all you need to make it fun.

If you want another good game get BWii (Battalion Wars 2)

There are no arcades around where I live so the Wii/DS is my entire life.

I used to go there religiously but it's been a while now. I might have to get off my butt and get down to one when Street Fighter 4 comes out. It's a shame all my old local hangouts have been shut down years ago. anything decent requires at least a 30 minute drive.

Timezone no longer exists. I remember the Super Sessions - $10 for 2 hour unlimited play. Apart from that, it wasn't a successful arcade because of it's poor choice of game titles.

Playtime used to be open at Flinders Street Station and then closed down. I used to maim the Melbourne High Boys at SF3 (the first one), XvSF and Zero 2. Go De La! (not).
Now you have Playtime at Northland and Highpoint.
Playtime also closed down in Elizabeth and Bourke in the city.

Intensity at Centro Sunshine and some other places that have theatres.

Galactic Circus is a joke. I mean really. It's for losers.

I remember Red House (closed), Blue House (still open), White House (closed), Yellow House also known as "Amusements" (still open).

Cyber City at Clayton closed down because locals complained about Islanders scaring customers away.

Princes Entertainment Carnegie has an arcade. Hustler and Hot Shot in Foostcray.

Edit: a lot of Universities too.
Oh yeah I forgot there's an arcade at Holmesglen TAFE, Chadstone. The one across the road closed down. There's also Timeout in Box Hill.

I am the worst arcade junkie you will ever know. But I retired.

lmao? Have you been to Cyber City before? Compared to your Springvale variety, it was very clean in the inside. But the place was a cesspool of smoke, spit and drugs in the front and back of the place (because there was no smoking inside). I'm not racist, but I wish they ban Maori's from entering or going near the joint. It just happened to be a perfect hangout for them.
It was always up to date in the games department, nice seating, coin-op pool tables, couches, music, toilets and good lighting.

I still go Princes from time to time. They have the bst pool tables in Melbourne. Maybe was can have a myDS hangout at Princes XD

Haha yeah the Springy ones were just as bad, 101 was a shocker don't eyeball the wrong person in that joint. Lesure Zone was pretty good for a while. I can even rember Swans and Rocky's I wonder if there's anyone old enough to remember those joints.

A MyDS arcade day sounds like a good idea it's a shame we're not all in Melbourne.

Pfftt... Melbourne... How 'bout you guys all move to QLD?

Anyway.... I go to some arcade thingys... There's a few called "Replay" . It doesn't have the old games, but it's a decent place to go. I'd love to know if there is any retro arcades in QLD though...

I never knew their names. The only one I know to exist back a few years ago is this Christian place on the other end of the rails from the shopping area that had unlimited snooker/billiards, table tennis and arcade games for 4 hours on a Friday night.
We should round up all the Melbourne people here to have a myDS arcade/pool party for a couple of hours on a weekend or something. Bring ur DSes and we'll battle it out in MK, Tetris and other games. XD
