You should have really played it before Crisis Core. But playing it after will probably make it go smoother, I mean the storyline.

Out of all the FF games for the DS so far the most challenging and difficult has to be FF 12 RW. if you dont do alot of things in a precise move then you die. but i think an easy one to pick up and play with buds is FF Crystal Chronicals for the DS. that one a simple dungeon crawler/ beat'em up.
