The majority of us here are Nintendo fans and Nintendo have been very successful for a long time, but they haven't had a silky smooth track record. Don't get me wrong I love Nintendo and grew up on a staple diet of big N products, I just thought it would be interesting to look at the things people were disappointed with.
What do you think were the notable mistakes Nintendo made over time. It may be a big one or it may be small. I'm sure this is a topic that we can discuss maturely without having this thread head in the wrong direction.
Here's a few that have bugged me for a while.

No blood in Mortal Kombat on the SNES
I was shattered when one of my favorite arcade games was being censored before making its way to the SNES. I ended up buying the Mega Drive version of Mortal Kombat. Blood > Green snot.

Zelda games on the CDi
Apart from these games the Zelda series has been a faultless series. Today Nintendo pretend that this never happened.

The Virtual Boy
Seemed like an interesting system during production but turned out to health hazard. Promoted as a portable but wasn't very portable. No games that remotely represented anything "virtual". Canned in less than a year.

eg.
Animal Crossing- Mr Resetti is completely unnecessary!
Mario Kart Wii- Doing tricks triggers an annoying sound effect for characters that can get very annoying where there's lots o jumps.
Twilight Princess- SO MUCH TEXT

I think that as long as Nintendo keep making unannoying games like super mario galaxy and brawl, I'll still love them.

Mr Resetti bugged the crap out of me because I was notorious for just hitting the off switch. Guess I learned my lesson
I liked the story of Twilight Princess I wish it was voice acted though.

I actually some old Nintendo commercials were good. I always loved the mario party ones
Not only because they were funny but also because they remind me so much of the incredibly great times I've had with my friends while playing mario party!






and I loved the smash bros one!

Mr Resetti is the only Nintendo character who had the guts to sort out all those gamers who just did the wrong thing which makes him a bigger hero than Mario or Link
