Eating in Mass?...anyway.. John paul II was a great Pope and i think he was lots of christions favourite.

It was a public mass held outdoors, like the one that Pope Benedict is doing this year. I was only a little kid, and basically was given candy so I would hold still!

Imagine noob teenagers, homeschooled, cloistered away from video games and TV and whatevs by their puritanistic parents. When they go on a pilgrimage to meet the Pope, they're away from their parents, and around other teenagers their age, and the legal drinking age in the country is lower than in the US.

Why, though?

The advertising is trumping this up as this great youth event, but honestly what makes a youth event is loud music, alcohol and rowdiness. You're going to a religious festival, backed by the Vatican. I'm not being rude or trying to insult anyone, but what part of this exactly appeals to you?

For example, I think programming a web application is awesome, but not everyone understands that. To me, being able to work logic from a rough idea with my own hands, and use my wits to solve problems with lateral thinking, give a feeling of affirmation and skillfulness. Your turn.
