I picked "Farm Life" up on Tuesday. I'd heard nothing about it at all..just happened to notice it on the shelf. Anyone else got this game? I've played it to death since I got it. I've had to recharge my DS 3 times this week already because I can't stop playing it. LOL!

Anyone that's a fan of the old Sim Farm game would probably like it.
I'll add this game to the games section tonight so you can get a better idea of what i'm on about.

To me it looks like more of an adult / mature Farming sim which is something I would prefer.

I guess it depends on how interesting and rewarding the actual farming is.

Yep it's similar to Harvest Moon but you don't need to go and interact with all the characters. The only time you interact with characters is when you visit a shop on the town...and then, you only talk to the shop keeper.

I think it's more of a mature farming sim but that being said, it's not exceptionally challenging either.

I've added Farm Life to the games section for anyone interested in having a look at what it's like.

I got it only to find it is the european version of John Deer Harvest in the Heartland! not that it is a bad thing really, but i have ran into a few instances of renaming things (games/movies) for other countries... just find it amusing.

Otherwise it is a fun game with minigames thrown in as well to help earn a bit of cash. All farm related mini games such as sheer the sheep, milk the cow, and chase the pig! Harvest moon is a farm game but yes more kiddie oriented. This one is better i feel tho it would be fun to have an adult oriented game where you go to town to buy things, meet people, maybe find someone to get interested in, date, fall in love, and maybe even get married! Would be nice to incorporate that with the wifi even so you might even meet a real person to interact with! Could be nice for a genre of 'dating' games for the DS as well mayhaps. Hmmmmm......

At the moment tho i am playing carnival games, and it is most enjoyable and fun! Has had the DS on charge for me as well quite often lol

anyways on farm life when you go to the carnival to play the fun fair games, i dont get how to milk the cow. could anyone out here please help and give me some advice, i have tried all sorts of things but i still havent got the hang of it . please help!

The cow milking is tricky. Just watch the sequence in which the arrows milk each teat on the udder. You then need to use your stylus and draw downwards on each teat in the same sequence. Start quite high on each teat...I found I had to do a couple of downwards motions on each on to get it to milk.

however i have a bit of a problem and i bet theres a simple reason but for the love of me i cannot work it out, lol, i have bought a barn to house the sheep and a coop for the chickens i have them on my farm now, but when i purchase the animal, it asks where i wanna put it and i say either barn or coop, or rather direct it with the stylus but it will not put the animal there? im quite baffled by this as ive tried putting the animal in the right place all over the right place and it simply wont do it? is there something im missing or perhaps its something with the game, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there!

What you need to do it go to the barn or coop or pen you want to put the animal in. Select it with your stylus...you should see a green highlight around the egdes. You'll then need to click the animal button that is showing on the top left corner. You'll need to touch the animal button for each animal you want to put into the barn etc. So if you buy 4 cows and you want to put all 4 into the same barn, touch the animal icon 4 times.

If you want to put 2 cows in one barn and 2 cows in another, select one barn, touch the animal icon twice. Select the other barn and touch the animal icon (top left of the touch screen) twice.
