I bought The Sims 2 from Big W about two weeks ago, and have played it once. Apart from that fact I think it is a crap game (I love the PC version and the guy in Big W told me the game play was the same), whenever I go into the 'Options' menu, both top and bottom screens go black. I can still hear sound but it's like the screens have turned off.
I've read that The Sims 2 for DS can be very buggy, and I've had no other problems with any other games I've played. Will Big W take it back as a faulty product, even if the seal on the box has obviously been opened? As the sticker says the seal must be intact for all returns.
