Pokemon Emerald - My opinions - 8/10
Pokemon Emerald – review
Ah… a port. In gaming, a port allows players to relive games on consoles. There’s always some greedy developer wanting to make a little bit more money. On the Wii, it was (or is) Capcom. On the Game cube, it was Sega. On the GBA, it was Square Enix… right? Turns out it wasn’t just them.
I found Pokemon Ruby to be very enjoyable. So in 2005, after Nintendo Had Published the DS, they put a port of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire onto the GBA, calling it “Emerald” I was excited, expecting to find something new and different. Turns out I wouldn’t.
Nintendo Ported a game on GBA to GBA. What a waste of cash. They could use the money earned from this to improve the graphics. Which they didn’t think to do before releasing Emerald.
It was the same game. Train some monsters, travel the land, thrash the pokemon league. Again.
It was after the game that swayed my Opinion.
It leads to the battle Frontier, which Brought in all new ways to play. It included different styles of battle, including a tournament, appealing to a group of Judges, making you way through a path of decisions with luck as your guide, and to make your way through a pyramid, along with many others. The battle Frontier is essentially what made the game.
Graphics
Decent for 16-bit graphics. Sadly, Nintendo, as always, did not improve the graphics. For once, I’d like a port with Improved graphics over the original.
Story
The story, unlike the graphics, has improved. The do have more “Legendary Pokemon” involvement though. Team Magma wants the world, Team aqua wants the world, and the only thing that can stop them is a boy and his companions.
Gameplay
RPG-turn based battles can be enjoyed in Emerald. It is how you spend the whole game, raising pokemon to fight your battles. Will you evenly train your pokemon? Or will you have one to lead them all?
Replay value
Overall, if you haven’t beaten the game, you’ll come back. If you’ve beaten the game, you’ll come back. 
Overall:
It’s a money making scam. It’s hard to love. Let’s not forget, It’s also Ruby and Sapphire with a new story, and a more to do after the game, including a larger pokedex (collection of Pokemon).
I give Pokemon: Emerald Version an 8/10
