Eldude
I open the door to the porcelain throne. Cautiously I take a seat. After being engaged I flush while still sitting. The water sensation tickles my behind but this feeling soon engulfs my whole body as I travel the tubes of the portal to end up at my final destination.
I arrive in the middle of a dimly lit swamp. The water is very warm and clear considering. I look up and see the bright flashing lights of what appears to be a replica of the strip in Las Vegas.
As I drag myself out of the water I am greeted by Miss Universe contestants who dry me off and supply clean dressy cloths. To my surprise, all the accommodation and food is free which is great seeing as I was not really prepared for my journey.

The pathway to another world, and possibly many other worlds, originates from my couch. Between the arm-rests and beneath the cushions, a vortex exists. Through this vortex, many have gone; my remote, loose change, keys and crumbs... and yet none have ever returned.
I had thought to launch a rescue expedition to retrieve my goods and chattels. With rope and ample anchoring I would venture into the void with dreams of a champions triumphant return, unfortunately the portal does not seem big enough for me to enter.
I am left only to assume that the strange world (or worlds) beyond the mystical gateway would appear much like our own, but littered with items poached from couches like mine from all over our world.
Streets would be paved in loose change and crumbs would rain from the sky. I suspect that some form of evil overlord, who of course uses the blackest of magic to open the portals is searching for the keys to our universe and a way to remote control us. .
ShyGuy
I shivered in the gush of cool air. The Brivis air conditioning system blew from above. A puddle seemed to drip from its edge I walked up to the puddle and touched it. Where could this be coming from? I put my face up to the crack where the air flowed out peering in, I pressed the remote. Sucked through a vortex my head still spinning, I fell face first into the snow. Shocked I struggled to open my eyes the world seemed to let out a strong sudden gale of wind as though even it was holding its breath in suspense. A city made from orbs and towers glistened in front of me. An ice wolf statue as though engraved with the finest detail bared its teeth right in front of my blurry eyes. As the snarl sifted through and I wiped the saliva of my arm I knew this was no statue.
“What are you” I cried.
“I’m an ice wolf,” he snapped “follow me.”
I always wondered why there was a leave and return button on my air conditioning system. I followed the ice wolf over the thin frost of a dazzling slippery mote of a beautiful city made from orbs and towers. The trees were in spiral formations and seemed to twist up into the sky they glissaded with dew as though it had just rained. Sculptured ice ivy and flowers framed the smooth moat surrounding the city. The city was flowing with ice people and ice animals. Long brick spheres and towers and fenced with thick ice walls had angel’s sculptures crouching along the edges. The wolf howled a crackling howl as though two glasses where clashing together and a small iced child came from within the silver bushes his face seemed half fractured and small splints spiraled down the remaining half of his body. Gazing around this ice paradise stuttering and shaking I asked If I could return.
“We need your help.” the ice wolf snarled as saliva ran down his mouth.
“Why do you seem so angry?” I asked him.
“Why does the road seem so slippery?” The wolf crackled back wiping his mouth with his paw. Then it occurred to me as I saw his eroding teeth that it hadn’t been raining and the wolf wasn’t mad but this ice land was melting. I suddenly noticed the panic behind the cities rustling and the ice angels eroding wings and asked how I could help. ”You know I will cut back on my air-conditioning to help with this problem and save on my bills but is there anything else I can really do.”
“Yes you can slay the fire dragon” A young man said passing me a sparkling sword. “It’s the finest in all the land its sharpened, on ice frozen harder than the purest diamonds nothing could be swifter and lighter. We will carve you ice armor so cold once fitted the fire wont melt it until three blows. Will you attempt this for the ice Kingdom?”
“No!” I said and pressed the return button on my remote. The puddle got bigger and now only the heating works on my air conditioning system.
