You misunderstand DS friend codes. A friend code is generated for each game based on the serial number of the DS unit. Each game has a different friend code, and the DS has no code itself, so we need the game before a friend code can be assigned.

Unless you knew that and were making this thread in advance, which is still a misunderstanding since it will be buried near the bottom of the forum in a month.
