Nintendo will certainly make a follow-up handheld (it's possible they started as soon as they released the DS Phat, as they started the Wii almost as soon as the Gamecube was out the door), but it's also possible that they may wait a while to see what fresh new gimmick they can use.

I was just reading what Snotball was saying, and I must say that I also have read somewhere that Nintendo is releasing a GBA2, as it is not in the same 'league' as the DS. However, it is possible that the DS SP and DS Micro(?) were the next generation GBA. Just a thought. I have also read in the Nintendo Gamer magazine that apparently Nintendo are re-releasing the DS with two larger screens, (Game Boy DS Heavy, he he he) and it MAY have the internet/web browser pre-installed or standard with the package. Interesting times ahead.

Looks pretty good. Apart from controls, a faster processor would be good such as on par with the PSP and the game cartridges holding more and hence more memory for more complex games, graphics, sounds etc.

The DS is as powerful as a PS1. Time to upgrade!!

I do. Waaaay too much for a Portable. I'm betting dual screens that are closer together, an easier-to-hold shape, maybe some more buttons (a second D-Pad or hideable control sticks?), better Wifi access and more online tools, and built-in tilt control.
