Ferrari Challenge by System 3.

Overview:
Drive a series of prestige Ferrari's around 8 tracks in Europe.

Playing Modes:
In each mode their are usually 4 difficulty levels with 4 challenges in each level.

Training: In this mode there are a lot of driving aids like when to turn and break and also an optional racing line to follow. To pass the training you generally have to score the required points to progress to the next challenge.
Even thou this is the training mode you will still be challenged to pass all the tests.

Race:
In this mode you have Championship, Practice Race and Time Trial.
To pass championship mode you have to finish in a certain position or better. In the easier modes you only have 1 race in the season but get multiple races in the harder levels and of coarse you are required to finish higher up the rankings.
Practice allows you to choose from 1 of 4 cars to race around your track of desire.
Time Trial is self explanatory, Get the fastest time on one of the tracks.

Versus:
In this mode you can race with 3 other players that have their own copy of the game (Multi-card) or 3 other players who download the game from you(Single-Card).

This game will keep you busy for hours trying to complete the levels. You have to complete the current level before the next level becomes available. The 4 cars available all have different handling and can take time to get used to.
You are able to change the colour of your car and the number before your race. There are 2 racing views, bumper cam and chase cam. I found bumper cam to be too low to the ground and it made it difficult to see the upcoming corners.
The dynamics of this game did not feel good. Some of the cars did not slide as you would have expected and the AI players are like bumpers on a pinball machine, they just keep their line and do not react to other cars around them by giving them room when you overtake them or vice versa. If you bump them they are just about unmovable which lowers the realism, because of this fact alone it lowered my overall score of this game.

The graphics are nice and the tracks are exact to the real thing. As I mentioned earlier, when you finish levels new levels open up, as well as this you can also receive a challenge card to add to your deck.

Challenge Cards is a side game that is included with this game. It works just like Top Trumps. The DS is tipped on its side while playing this game making good use of the screens. You can play this against the computer or with a friend who has the game via DS connect.

The game keeps track of all your records in all modes and can be viewed in the records section.

Conclusion:
Nice racing game but only really challenging because of its flaws.

Sound - 9/10
