A Golden Game on a Golden Console - 10/10

The original Golden Sun game was a breath of fresh air as it was the first great RPG for the GBA. It was released in 2001 and was acclaimed as one of Camelots finest. The game set the standard but was slightly disappointing as the game ended halfway through the quest. This left fans waiting for more. They had tested RPG perfection and were left waiting for the sequal.

Enter Golden Sun: The Lost Age. This game was released in Australia in 2003. It was said to be an expansion of the original game but this game is much more than an expansion.

The plot starts just before the end of the first game playing as Jenna, one of the antagonist's sister. You play as her for the first half hour of the game or so but then you move into the game you play as the brother Felix.

During the course of the game, you will find that the story does a complete 360 as you end up trying to accomplish what you were trying to avoid in the first game. I wont say anymore as you really need to play the game to get it.

The sequel has expanded on the game in so many ways it is hardly the same game. Here is a list of the new features:
-multiple element summons
-more djinni
-more available classes as more djinni are available
-party of eight (won't ruin why though)
-over 40 hours of gameplay

Unfortunately there is only two flaws in this game, if you can really call then flaws, but the graphics and the in-game music is at very much the same standard that the original had which is still of a high quality. The game features a sound test option as well to compliment the music in the game.

The game also makes use of the original game for bonuses such as an extra dungeon and quite a few things more.

This is gaming perfection in my opinion and it is always going to be in my ds.
