A New York plastic surgeon has smashed the original Donkey Kong record while waiting out a snowstorm.
Dr Hank Chien finished with a score of 1,061,700. The previous record was 1,050,200, set by Mr Mitchell at a live event in Florida in 2007. "It's something to add to my resume and it's something I can be proud of," said Dr Chien.
The 35-year-old doctor was inspired to attempt the record, on his personal Donkey Kong arcade machine, after watching the documentary The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters.
