Sometimes if i'm trying to decide on something to purchase, I look up amazon.com and read the user reviews. You get an idea of the good, the bad and the ugly that way. I've found it helpful in deciding on games in the past...i'm not sure if amazon.com have DS and PSP but they have near everything else.

personally I dont play my DS a lot anymore. I am going to get a PSP when the new one comes out. The PSP is a lot more cheaper now.

I like the PSP games over most of the DS games. The sound is better and the visuals are better.

you can play a pretty decent quality platform game on the PSP. The DS platformers and racers are pixely and not good enoguh. For a mario kart game its okay because its mario kart so graphics dont have to be great but with the other games the graphics suck. The DS is only good for puzzlers and SNES-like graphic games. The 3D stuff on the DS just plain sucks comapred to the PSP. Thats the truth. The only advantage it really has over a PSP I think is the touch screen and microphone which gives it some great functionality. Then youve got pokemon and mario and all that nintendo related game stuff.

The PSP is a powerhouse of audio visual quality for a gaming handheld in comparison to the DS.
The PSP has a lot of good games on it such as fighting games, racing games and some really really great puzzlers like the lumines series and the DJ series.
I think the PSP is becoming more appealing to me now but I still like my DS for the brain games and the puzzlers.

If youre not crazy about Nintendos games like pokemon and mario then maybe yous hould get a PSP instead.
The touch screen is not really necessary it just makes it a little bit more fun for some games. Same with the microphone. Theyre just gimmicks to gamers and they'll wear off. Its also annoying having to hold a stylus a lot. Do you find its annoying writing with a pen all the time? Thats what its like trying to game with a stylus for over an hour and you have to grip it with the ends of your fingers. Its tiny and really annoying. The PSP is probably becoming the better console now that its cheaper.

A PSP for $250 - $275 and a DS for $175 - $200
