Pokemon \ Pokemon Diamond Migration Problem

I have had Diamond for a few months and have beaten the Elite 4, gotten the National Dex and found Pal Park - all that is great. I recently got Fire Red so that I can migrate pokemon to Pal Park and have read on a few places how to do it - but i have a small problem.

In fire red I make sure that I have 6 pokemon in Box 1 of the PC but every time I start Diamond and it gets as far as the title screen I dont get the option to migrate that I should? And to make the situation even worse every time diamond gets as far as the title screen it deletes the save game on Fire Red and I have to start all over.

I have used trial and error and fire red ony gets deleted if I go as far as the title screen in diamond (where I should be getting the option to migrate). Is there something that I am doing wrong or is there a certain stage of the game you have to get to in Fire Red to stop this from happening?

this is an intriuging problem, one of which i have not heard of. Have you played through Fire Red at all, or just started it and cuahgt six to migrate over? i ask this because you might need to have a gym badge on the game in order to migrate, thats my only thought at the moment

Are you using Diamond with an R4/Cyclo/M3/G6? That could be your problem. Otherwise, it;s your copy of FireRed. Was it preowned?

do not do that do not waist your time i have fire red and i have no bages and i can still migrate take action now and refund it .

Hmm, that is very odd, either you have a fake cartridge or you haven't collected the Pokedex in FireRed, which you need to, so you can migrate, otherwise you cant.

It happened to me,

I found out what happened and tried to fix it, the game was still on and it turned off when I got everything how it is supposed to be!!!

I thought I had broken it! Boy was I lucky

That would have been about $100 down the drain!

I don't think its a fake.....because I got a fake Firered and migration worked.....but I think you have to get the National Dex in Firered/Leafgreen to migrate.
