I guess we're not talking cartridge/UMD games for current handheld consoles, so I'd have to go with the Donkey Kong Game'n'Watch. Man, that addictive.
Otherwise, I'd have to say the best fun I've ever had on the road is Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass... can't wait for the next one on DS!

Yeah Pokemon Yellow. My first ever game on any console... Was so much fun I found myself playing it for hours. Was so good that i made my mum buy me red and blue even though they were all pretty much the same!
