General \ "NO console"....

Hey everyone,

Recently i have decided to get a new console(ps3) and my mum said a big "NO" practically because she thinks i have enough consoles and doesn't want me wasting my money , is there anyone out there who is in this situation or has every been in one similar. Also i was wondering what to do about it, i have already tried the im going to sell my ps2 and play all my games on my ps3 (once again it was a "NO"). Does anyone a have a scheme or something to help me out ????

Well when the wii came out my mum said yes so i got ( lol my dad was hyped when i got it ). But when i asked my parents for the PS3 like about 2months ago she said no because I have the 360 and the wii. When i told my parents when i get a job then can i get it. My parents said No. She said have like $50 pocket and save the rest. I told with that $50 can i save towards the PS3 my mum ssaid " I know you want it but please get something else other than a Gameing console " I said " but " my mum said " Look anything else but a gaming console ". I'm still thinking. A computer can be handy in my room hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Oh right. I think she said no because of the stuff you allready have. Anyway what else of gaming do your have currently this may influence why she said no.

EDIT: GET THE CAR FIRST. It is important man the car beats the Ps3. My brother is 17 and needs a new car he has planned his buyings this year first out of all things a car.

i had the same problem but with computers... i had about 10 or so and i wanted a laptop for portability... i had to get rid of all but one computer and then i got the laptop...

WOW, but did you make enough money to soup up your comp, and put the rest of the money towards a Laptop.
( know what i mean? )

Hmm how many consoles do you have??
if i was in your position i would just save up for the car... there's more to life than video games. Although it would be nice to have the PS3 it would be better to get your car first... just so you dont put it off and then struggle to get the money for your car..
It would be better to just get the car and your L plates first and then you should figure out whether to get a console its the sensible thing to do

btw the new PS3's (aka the 40gb models dont play PS2 games but they do play PS1 games and dont bother looking for a 60gb model on ebay unless you liked to ripped off very much) and i would say only save money for a car if you know what car you are buying and how much it cost (or would if you looking into the second hand market) but on the other hand it is your own money and you are allowed the right to use it as you wish

If you already have those consoles stop being greedy. Just buy a copy of Halo 3 and mario kart and they should last you ages.

Be happy with what you have and anyway 360's kick the **** through PS3

Hmm.. how did i not see this earlier must of been when i was typing my reply.. I think you should get the car and not get a PS3. You already have 2 of this gens consoles out of 3... i only have one console and that is the 64. pfft Who cares that u have 2 share ur consoles with your siblings... you would be stupid not to get the car.

there it blu-ray and then the games that are exclusive to either console such as Metal Gear Solid for PS3 and Halo for 360, if I could own both I would but financially that's not exactly possible, but then again I did use up some money on a TV.

You only need one but there are benefits to owning both although not too many people would be able to afford that.
