Hey guys I'm a long time reader and first time poster on these forums. I was hoping you could help me located somewhere in Melbourne to buy a cyclods evolution, as I am going away on a long trip and would like to beable to take all my games on a single cartridge.

I am not sure if they would have cyclo in the melbourne swap meets and at geelong, i have never seen them in stock.
Just do some looking in the swap meets for the flash cards..
watch out for fakes/coppies. do not go to the swap meet and be dissapointed if you don't find the card u want, it is not my fault and don't blame it on me... but good luck with finding 1

@ ICC he said he was not intrested in online buying.. even though it would be his best option

I think you shound consider a different flash card.. maybe a well known one, that is easier to get..

the R4 is easy to use, basically just drag and drop the files/games/movies into a folder. Have not had any problems
but remember this:

i whent to a computer swap meet, and came back with an r4 and a 2gb micro sd card you can haggle a bit with the sellers at swap meets, because they are so desprate to make a sale

he whent with the r4.. but do u want it 4 homebrew, games, videos and music, or more than that, if more cyclo is the way to go. i think the r4 is perfect for me, but it is up to you

They apparently bought some to sell.. but someone bought all of the stock from them.. most likely to sell it for themselves for a higher price because the person we spoke to were selling them for only $65. So maybe you will prolly see people selling them around more - most likely for a higher price.

I just got mine online, they deliver around 1-3 days, only problem is there is a little dint on my tin, but everything else is perfect.

R4 is ok too, but it's kinda old now.. and I think the maximum you can use is a 2gb SD card on it? CycloDS evolution supports 2gb and higher.

aww yay ordering online is alright anyway if you can't get it at the swap meet. I think we paid around $75 altogether for it including postage and handling, you will have to buy the SD card separately - make sure it's nothing lower than a class 6 (for better performance). I think the minimum for a class 6 is 4gb, but it's worth it anyway.
