Edit: I hope you don't mind me editing your title?

Disagree. SuperCard has some serious holes in Homebrew and backup support. As I've said in the Homebrew Guide and thread I created, the M3 Lite for Slot 2 and the R4DS/M3 Simply for Slot 1 are the most supported.

Yeah, I suppose. I didn't sticky it originally because I reckoned people would just comment on the Guide itself, but they're obviously not.

The R4DS and M3 Simply have built-in NoPass, so it will work on any version of the DS firmware. Just load up Slot 2 from the Slot 1 cart's GUI to use it.

So if you have emulated games on your ds via the supercard, can you play games online still ? like metroid and tetris.

I couldn't tell you if SuperCard is compatible with Wi-Fi because for some reason they don't advertise it explicitly, but they do advertise "almost 100% game compatibility." The M3 Lite apparently supports it, as do other Slot 1 carts, but I've never tried because my router doesn't support DS Wifi.

Read the Guide. You can't play GBA games on a Slot 1 card. You need a Slot 2 card, and I recommend an M3 Lite.

And the PSP still costs something like AU$300, is heavy and large (makes up for it with the screen, though), there are not many good games for it and UMD movies are a waste, and suffers from the same problem that the GBA did: not enough buttons when trying to emulate certain other systems. GBA didn't have enough buttons to do SNES properly, and PSP doesn't have enough buttons to map the entire N64 controller.

I want a GP2X. The thing was specifically made to run homebrew.

Congratulations, you spammed.

Read the entire thread and you will find references to a Homebrew thread and guide on this site.

The difference between the R4DS and the M3 Simply is purely a matter of firmware updates. R4 updates regularly. M3 lags behind. This is why M3 Simply owners often convert their units to R4s with a soldering gun and some time.
