If I place it incorrectly (lets say it doesn't line up with the speakers and/or buttons) does it easily peal off? And does it leave residue?
The good quality ones should leave residue, you just need to take your time removing them. I recently removed a skin from my DS I took my time with it and came off hassle free, I can even re-apply it if I wanted to.
