Software \ Are DS games region free ?

Hey myDS.com.au , I dont usually visit this part of MyMedia as I only have a PS3/Wii & PSP but my fiancee has a DS & I want to get her some games from playasia. All the games I want to buy say they are for the NintendoDS & they are US version with no region protection.

Going by that Im assuming they will work fine in her DS but I just wanted to check before I buy them, so it would be appreciated if someone could answer that for me.

But in saying that, games are made for different regions.
US games are mainly English. European games have multiple languages and Japanese games are Japanese. But they all play on any DS.
