Software \ Game Doesnt Work With R4

I try to launch Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship 2008, all other games are working OK. Maybe thats because my R4 is only v.1.08?

It writes:
"Unable to read data. Please turn off the power and reinsert the Game Card."

It's likely that this could be remedied with a firmware update but it's more likely that you simply need to patch the game that you are trying to play. There are a couple of DLDI patch programs which are simple and easy to use (drag'n'drop)

Which worms? I've run open warfare 1 & 2 and even managed to get a (buggy) version of the PC original running on an R4.

The R4 is old and moldy, but then so is your firmware... Upgrade to 1.18 and this should ease your problems.

If it does not, then yes a patch will fix it.

your gonna realise soon that alot more games wont work in the future. the R4 is dated as stated above and seeing as no new firmware is gonna come out, compatibility will basically stop at what works now. unless you find custom patches that people have made to allow them to work with r4.

most patches for commercial rom are translation patches for example jump ultimate stars will never be in english but someone has patched it to english to play on r4s or any flash cart
