Pokemon \ Does Pushing A continously when your cathing a Pokemon Make a difference, in any Pokemon game??

In all pokemon games I've had or have, when ever I go to catch a pokemon I press A repeatedly.
Now I think it does somthing because with my Dialga I caught it first shot with a poke ball, whislt pressing A over and over again.
Does my doing this make me have a higher chance of cathing a Pokemon? or does it just hurt ur hand?

it'd be funny if it did nothing

oh yay i caught Azelf just then and i was pushing it

I also heard holding down B the second the ball hits the ground helps too

How do u start polls? I wanna make one saying

I understand it does absolutely squat. I think someone just started a rumour about it (way back in the days of Pokemon Red/Blue) so they could giggle when everyone near them kept hammering away needlessly at a button.

You press B+A until the ball hits the ground and then imidiatly take your fingers off it..
Wait for it and then your pokemon will be caught.
It worked when i was catching azelf and mespirit(Caught both first shot)
