Well i have had my ds phat since the launch date and i have had no problems with it wat so ever.Only the fact that it does'nt run games very well and sometimes says "Please insert ds card" But i have already put it in.
I think the fact is that your ds is just getting a bit older then everyone elses and its starting to have a couple of malfunctions with the system and how it operates.
