Like the summary says it is fun at first but is losing the addicitng levels unless u progress fast and unlock alot of crap and are rich from winning tournys against dogs in game. The game play is extremly useful and easy enough to learn for some one at the age of 4 maybe. bassically the only control except for the chopper and go kart use only the touch screen. the top is mainly used for the menu or screen u just left or info. The actual dog u choose will manipulate how it is raised. besides there being 20 differant breeds to unlock there are attitudes to go with them. like the lony attitude. a dog with this attitude will need at least almost all of your attention or another dog with a social attitude before it is happy enough to leave you alone. There is also alot of the Microphone use as well. for the dog to learn new tricks you use your stylus on the screen to dirrect them. then you touch the light bulb in the corner of the screen and say the desired word for the trick. My dog is stupid so for roll over i use the word poop. The mic sensitivity can be changed but better if use ds lite for this game because of the positioning and it has a better mic than the phat ds. In gameplay the mic can screw up when u need it in contest for best in show but if u use easy to translate words for the system to handle instead of the words like rollover, use poop. the only words that work are jump, sit, and stay. overall this game takes full advantage of all the DS's capabilities. But only for people that like sim games or don't have much of a life of there own to take care of virtual dogs and clean up virtual piss and crap. oh forgot to mention that the clock in the ds hard drive is connected to the game once the game is used for first time. so the dogs will get hungry and dirty even if u are not playing the game.
