Nintendogs - 3/10
Always wanted a dog, but never been allowed one? Well don't resort to Nintendogs. Sorry for any potential buyers, but this game is a waste of time and money. This review will be pointing out how stupid this game is, rather than stating the positives; there simply just aren't any!
You start the game with enough money to buy one dog. You name the dog using a long and merciless voice system-- which doesn't end up being used all that much anyhow. Then, you enter the game with your dog and a bit of spare change. This is the part where you begin to realise that the game doesn't offer much more than throwing strange objects at your dog and paying through your neck to buy a new one.
And thus starts the endless cycle-
Buy a dog.
Buy some food.
Feed the mutt.
Clean the mutt.
Take the mutt out for a walk.
Keep the mutt in the house for half an hour
Walk the mutt again
Turn off your DS
Turn your DS on
Walk the mutt
Feed the mutt
Buy another stinkin' mutt
Follow the cycle again, but with DOUBLE the annoyance.
How absolutely FUN does that sound? A part from a few lame and boring contests and competitions, there's really not much else to be done. But if I ended my review here, it would be rated as one of the most stupid reviews in the world so here I go... continuing...
Although the game is a piece of poo, there are a tiny amount of good things. For instance the fact that... um... okay so help me out here because I'm struggling to think of something here. I'VE GOT IT! Um, it makes good use of the touch screen? No, that's a lie. Look, I'm just gonna wrap it up here. Please don't send me hate mail for this creapy and crappy (Oooh, I said 'crap'--:S) review, thanks in advance!
In truth, this game was a large, stinky, boring, cheap old pile of... um, er... dog [*keepin' it PG*]... poo? Poo! That's it! A pile o' dog poo. The game's duration is unlimited, but the game's appeal is the exact opposite. Sure to last no longer than 3 days-- if you're lucky!
