Final Fantasy III Reviews \ Detail

Final Fantasy III - 8/10

Summary:
The Gulgan thus prophesised:

"The earthquake was only the beginning. The great tremors that swallowed the crystals, the light of our world, only to spawn monsters from the depths of the scarred land, are nothing but harbingers of what has yet to come. Something is coming... fathomless, ominous, and full of sorrow... But hope is not yet lost. Four souls will be blessed with the light, and so it shall begin..."

Description:
This game is the third volume of Square enix's Final Fantasy series. You start off as Luneth an orphan raised by Nina and Elder Topapa in the village of Ur. Adventurous by nature, his curiosity gets the better of him as he tumbles into a hole created by the great earthquake. He then travels to Ur to help and comfort Arc. Another orphan raised by Topapa, and Luneth's best friend. Unlike Luneth Arc prefers reading over gmabling in the wild. His studies endow him with great knowledge that more than makes up for his shyness. They travel to Kazus then finding Refia. A girl who was raised in Kazus by the mythril smith Takka whose rigorous training led her to run away from home... again. You then travel and find Ingus. A loyal soldier of King Sasune's army. He narrowly escapes the Djin's curse wich is your first mission. His prime concern is finding the missing Princess Sara. After completing the first mission your team is then blessed with the light. You then venture the floating continent and the surface to defeat the pawn of darkness and the darkness itself...

Sound:
The sound is average. It's not too loud and a little bit soft. The music is easy to get stuck into your head and the opening credits to the game has a really good base sound with the cello in an orchestral ensemble. I personally love listening to the opening song to the game with headphones so that I can clearly hear the base.

Graphics:
The graphics aren't exactly Great but their not bad either. The attempt and 3D is a little edgy but at least you can see a clear picture and move around easy. When you battle it goes into a battle scene though.

Gameplay:
It has a small storyline which gradually makes sense towards half way+ through the game. The characters are easy to become attatched to and the people you meet are kind and useful people.

Controls:
With this game you are welome to use the stylus which would be easy to use but it is a lot more useful to use the control pads/buttons in this game. In my opinion the game should allow you to save inside a house town or building rather than outside in the world.

Scores:
Sound: 5/10
Graphics: 5/10
Gameplay: 9/10
Controls: 8/10

Opinion rating of game: 8/10

Thankyou for reading my review and I hope and encourage you to buy this game and give it a crack. ^^

Thanks although it isn't exactly great...... I'm still proud of it though and how far in the game I've gotten without losing my temper with it. Except for when I almost broke the game to peices because I couldn't defeat odin

Nice review Aimee, my only complaint is that you probably could have described the gameplay a little bit more. Overall 8/10, nice work Aimee.
