Mario Party DS Review - 8/10
Mario Party DS
By Henry
This game is like all the other Mario Party Games, like on the Game cube and the Wii. This time Mario Party DS includes detailed graphics and incredible stylus control over your character. You can explore and discover many things in the different stages this game holds. The story starts off when, 5 crystals had fallen to Earth and Bowser wants them all to himself. He then traps you in his castle and shrinks all of the character (including yourself). Your goal is to defeat Bowser and recover all the crystals. Trying to stop you is the rest of the characters.

-Gameplay-
After he shrinks you, this is where you take hold of your character. You find yourself on a island. You have to go around the island collecting coins and stars. You will receive 10 rounds. After the 10 rounds, the player with the most stars and coins win. If you win the game you will be rewarded with points. Points can be used to buy objects. The game starts by players rolling a dice/die. The player that has the highest number after rolling the dice will be going first in the game.

You go around the islands collecting coins and buying stars located in different places. After each round, you will have to battle other players in a mini-game. Bowser will pop in once in a while to punish or reward a player. If 10 rounds have past and you win, You will go to another island where you have to compete, collect and win to progress through the game.
There are many different sought of mini-games Mario party DS. Ranging from games that require the microphone or stylus games where you drag or press to complete the challenge.
-Graphics- - 8/10
Mario party has really good graphics for a DS game. I was really surprised by how good the game actually looks. In mini-games the details in the objects and character are very clear, so it is easy to recognize the details in the game.
-Gameplay-
Mario party ds have a basic game play. If you have experience in the other Mario party games, this one should be a peace of cake. The things that separate this game from the other Mario party games is that this one includes the used of Microphone, the ability to buy stuff and much more exciting stuff.
-Overall-
Mario party ds is a great game to play when your on a really long trip. I really enjoy the mini-games Mario party has to offer.
