Lemmings - 9/10

First published in 1991 on the Commodore Amiga, Lemmings was an instant hit with puzzle fans and went on to massive mainstream success with numerous sequels. The game puts the player in control of a herd of up to 100 lemmings which now has been ported to the Nintendo DS, yes this is a Homebrew game, but god its a good one!!!

The original Amiga version of Lemmings used the mouse, which is by far the best way this game can be played bar one. Compared to the new PS2 and PSP version of the game, where the D Pad is NOT YOUR FRIEND as it moves far to slow. The only way to really play this game is with the Nintendo DS's Touch Screen controllers. The freedom it gives you in this game is amazing, the fast actions when needed are there. Lemmings was made for the DS.

Not only does this homebrew game feature all 120 levels of the original lemmings but it has also been jammed packed with all 100 levels of Oh-No! Lemmings. To top things off, it also includes all 72 levels from Xmas lemmings 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1994.

The original lemmings had passwords for your saved game progress. This has now been removed and replaced with a Automatic progress saving system, which is a great idea.

Not only does this game feature all the above and you're saying to yourself "Theres more?" well I can tell you there is! You can make your own lemmings levels with the included level editing tools.
