Animal Crossing: Wild World - 8/10
I'm sure you know what Animal Crossing: Wild World is by now. If you've been on this website for a while, you'd of seen all the stuff about it. So what's all the hype about?
Well, Animal Crossing: Wild World is a life simulation game for the Nintendo DS, set in a town where humans live among animals. It is a follow-up to the 2001 title "Animal Crossing" for the Nintendo GameCube.
The important features of the first Animal Crossing game return in this one, but with improvements and a few changes. Activities in town include buying and selling items, fishing, and several others, especially becoming friends with the animals. The game occurs in real time, with the real calendar, and time progresses even when the game is turned off.
So what's fun about Animal Crossing: Wild World?
-Perhaps the biggest attraction to Animal Crossing: Wild World is the ability to connect to the Internet using Wi-Fi. Wild World is the second Nintendo title that uses the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. (The first one was Mario Kart DS.) This lets players use wireless access points to connect to the Internet and visit other players' towns. You must first add your friend on your friend roster via their friend code, once they add you back, you can visit each other worlds freely (if your gates are open). Even if you don't have wifi , you can go to your friends town via DS Wireless play.
-You can go make friends with lots of cute, witty, fun animals. There are a huge range of different neighbours that can move in and our of your town.
-Players move into village, buy a small house and then do whatever they want. Time and seasons pass as they do in the real world, so there will always be something unpredictable happening. Collect or buy items, talk to neighbors, go fishing, catch bugs, dig up treasure or hang out with human friends.
Gameplay: 8.5/10
-The gameplay in this game is really simple and easy. You can use either the Stylus for complete touch control or you can use buttons, so you have complete control.
Graphics: 8.3/10
-This is one of the first DS games made. With that in mind, the graphics are brilliant.
Sound: 7.5/10
-You might think "Why would this game get a 7 in sound?". Well the game has great music, especially when you visit K.K. Slider in the cafe. His a dog who sings and plays guiter. he has heaps of songs that you can request and he will play. Also the music while doing day-to-day activities really set the mood.
Value: 8.9/10
-This game is one of those games that you can play for a very long time. Most places sell this game for about $30 - $50, which is fantastic value.
Overall Verdict: 8.5/10
-Great gameplay, graphics and sound. With all this, it's truly great value and will be a classic Nintendo DS game forever.
