This is a really good Pokemon game where even though you dont catch pokemon and keep them, you still keep up a pokedex and have 1 friend you keep. It is for the Nintendo DS and will set you back around $60 Storyline: You are a young boy/girl in the Fiore Region that has sent letters to a group of people that are called Pokemon Rangers, the pokemon rangers are to keep peace with pokemon and people and never keep pokemon but instead get them to help the player and then release them back into the wild where you can then recatch them (except for some pokemon such as legendaries). You can NOT trade the pokemon off this game, other than Manaphy, who is actually given away not traded. Almost all pokemon you catch have abilities that can be used when catching pokemon or when walking around, eg. if there is a fire a Mudkip can put it out or in a catching battle can blow a bubble around the foe restricing movement and attacks, making them easier to catch. Players: Of course like all other Pokemon games you get new characters to pick from, one male, one female. the female will find a Plusle that they keep through, the game where as the male will get a Minum. Your friend will have a ability to shock your foe, (pokemon you want to catch) making them easier to circle and catch. Sound: The music can get annoying and repetitive, but if it does you can just turn it down, but other than that it has great sound. Movement: To move the charater around you can use the touch screen or the D-Pad. When catching pokemon, you always use the touch screen, this is because you circle a pokemon over and over, each time you make another circle a number above that pokemon will go down; when it reachs 0 you then take the stylus off the screen and you have a new friend. The pokemon you have caught will follow you where ever you go and to use there special ability you click and drag them onto the place they are needed, (after using a pokemon they run away.) Also you can see pokemon everywhere so if you dont want to catch them, run past them before they run into you, bringing up the catching screen. In this game there is a NEW pokemon called Manaphy that can be obtained through putting in a code then doing a sub mission, after you have completed the mission you will have a Manaphy egg that can be sent to Diamond/pearl. If you do not have either of these games, you can just have fun in doing the sub-mission to get the egg. To give it to your Pokemon diamond or pearl game you will need two nintendo DS's. This is not for people that cant draw ciclres or cant move there fingers and hands fast.. or maybe it is... to teach you how to do it...
