What a busy couple of weeks it has been! With the release of my first issue of BundaH’s Corner, my PM’s were off the hook. With feedback, topics to discuss, and much more. I just want to say thanks for the support and constructive criticism, and I don’t mind if you think these blogs need improving or if you think they are boring. Well, let me tell you I’ve had a great week. I’ve been up to the Gold Coast, did the theme parks, and I treated myself to a Batman surprise at Movie World – and here it is.
What’s in the bags?
OMG! IT’S THE DARK KNIGHT HIMSELF!
Oh em gee! The Joker too!
Final look.
Now, enough with the Batman bobble heads, and onto the serious stuff. I have had the pleasure to interview Milky-Shee – you all know him from My360, and also MyBluRay as one of the lead admins. Here is the interview – enjoy!
Interview with Milky-Shee.
So Milky, you're an admin on MyBluRay - and a good one at that - but what's the worst and best part of your job?
Well it's a quiet site, so as an admin I don't really have to do a great deal and I don't really see it as a job, more as something interesting I can do when I'm bored. The best part is more the site itself, talking about films with fellow movie fans. Worst part? Hmmm... no really bad parts at all. It's an easy site to look after, we have the same kind of people that always use MyBluRay, so you never really have to worry about anything.
Well, it certainly does show that you have a passion for movies, with administrating the website and always encouraging people to come over and have a chat, so what would be the best and worst of the film industry for 2008?
2008 was a strange year because apart from The Dark Knight we never really had any stand-out films. The blockbuster was, to be quite honest, rather lame. Nothing was overly brilliant or surprising or original. 2009 should hopefully improve on this with films like Watchmen, Monsters vs. Alien and Funny People. So I guess that's the worst of 08. The best would have to be the quality of dramas. Just look at the 15 odd films competeing for the chance to be nominated for best picture at the Oscars, all of them are high class and top notch films. Truely was a great year for dramatic film making.
So I'm guessing that your most anticipated films for 2009 are Watchmen, Monsters vs. Alien and Funny People, but are there honourable mentions for '09?
They are highlights, but not the ones I'm looking forward to most. Edgar Wright is currently making a film called Scott Pilgram vs. The World which stars Michael Cera. This would be my most anticipated film for 09. Honourable mentions would include films like The Road, Sherloch Holmes and Crank 2 but it's really too early in the year to decide what will be great or not.
Well Milky, it's been a short interview - but I have one last question. What is your favourite movie of all time?
I have a lot of favourites, Virgin Suicides, V for Vendetta, Elizabethtown, Donnie Darko, Training Day, Sin City, The Wackness, Big Lebowski... but my all-time favourite is Garden State, without a doubt. Great writing and direction from Zach Braff and some really quite wonderful performances, plus the soundtrack is awesome. It's not the best film I have ever seen, but it's my favourite.
Well a favourite movie does not have to be the best film. Thanks for taking the time for this interview Milky - it's been a pleasure.
Cheers.

It has turned out to be probably the biggest thing for MyMedia – and it has brought much entertainment to the members of the totally awesome MyMedia. I was ecstatic to hear that this will be a podcast, loved the creativity of heller’s theatrical trailer that deserves an award, and the relaxed and funny chats of the pod-casts. With the user-review runs + featured review runs, community news, debates/discussions, Q & A, it has definitely captured my attention.
I’ve uploaded the podcasts to my iPod, and I occasionally sit down and listen to heller, Gaetano & Guyver have a chat about the new and upcoming games, the Super Nintendo and its up’s and down’s, and the randomness of heller asking Tano out on a date. I laugh along, and nod my head in agreement or shake my head with disagreement. This podcast series is definitely my favourite audio podcast, although if it was video it would be my favourite podcast. Ever!
It is definitely good to listen to, and to sit back and relax to. Go check it out – and subscribe to it on iTunes! It’s new & notable!
And that's a wrap! See you all again with issue 3!
