Welcome to the first MyMedia Network Community Update! Within it you'll find all the different things currently going across all the MyMedia sites. There's a couple of different reasons we're starting this, one is that there's a lot of people who will be on one site and have no idea that the other six (six? No more have sprung up over night right?) exist and the second being even when they do there seems to be this idea that everyone on the other sites speak another language. It's like.... hold on, we've got a picture demonstrating it....
So we're going to break down the walls and bring in the love! Each week or fortnight (we haven't decided yet, comment with your opinion!) we'll bring you a digest of pretty much everything going on. Medals, compos, feature content, multiplayer nights, clan meets and other events going on. We're also aiming to include stuff that isn't admin started, so if you're running an event within the forums that you think deserves some attention, jump down to the bottom of this post for how to let us know. Oh and for our first issue we'll be using the terms 'new' and 'recent' fairly loosely...

MyWii is in the midsts of compo fever along with a few community medals going at the moment. What's going on exactly?
Medal - Contribute to the Super Smash Brothers Brawl Mini Site
The game is just around the corner for Australian release and so is the the MyWii mini site. Developed to allow some serious competitive online play within the community, the site has rankings, match result feeds, match screenshots and a few other neat things. We also want it to be the place to go for brawlingstrategy , and we're looking to you folks to deliver. All you have to do is write an article about Brawl, it can be something really narrow like Final Smash moves, or something of a much wider topic like a walkthrough for Subspace Emissary. If that sounds like you're thing, jump on over to the thread for all the details!
Compo - Win Wacky Races Game and Medal
Up for grabs over the next couple of weeks is five copies of Wacky Races: Crash & Dash for the Wii! The compo is just a matter of posting who you'd pick as your Wacky Racer and why. Who you pick can be fictional or real, and everyone who enters will alsoreceive a Wacky Races medal on their profile! Five copies of the game will be sent out to those drawn randomly from the entries we receive, and the compo closes on June 30 th. If you want a free game check out the compo details here!

MyPS3 has also come down with compo fever, currently the only known way to cure it is to have everyone enter the compo. If you like medals too, MyPS3 is the place to be!
Compo - Overlord: Raising Hell
The Xbox 360 hit Overlord is on it's way to the PS3 in the revamped version, Overlord: Raising Hell, and we've got five copies to give away! Keeping with the evil tone of the game, all you gotta do is tell us in no less than 50 words what you would do if you were the Overlord of a vulnerable town. The most creative (or evil) entries win! Feel like being a tad evil? The compo details page is where you want to be!
Compo - Battlefield: Bad Company
Battlefield: Bad Company is also up for grabs, with five copies each for My360 and MyPS3. To enter, grab the dog tag template and using an image editing program put in your soldier name, battle company and battle position. Upload your completed dog tag to the gallery and submit to the compo thread and you're in the running for a copy of the game. All entries alsoreceive the dog tag medal for their profile. Medal - MyBluRay (on MyPS3)
Cross market promotion at it's best! The team at MyPS3 are currently running a medal around their favourite format, BluRay, and of course the MyMedia site MyBluRay. For this little animated trophy you have to join up to MyBluRay, clock up 150 kudos (without spamming) and post your profile link on MyPS3. Do that and the medal is all yours, full details in the compo thread!

Running across both My360 and MyPS3, Battlefield: Bad Company is up for grabs, five copies for the 360 to be exact. 18 questions and 18 medals, starting from 5PM tonight you'll get a the chance to have some of your favourite video game characters on your profile! All you gotta do is figure out which video game character the question is about, and you'll get your pick out of the character medals available. Be quick though, as only 18 people can win. Compo - Guitar Hero: On Tour
Probably just about the most hyped DS game in quite a while, Guitar Hero: On Tour comes out on the 25th next week, and we've got three packs to give out. Not only will you get the game and fret button grip thingy, but also a pair of Guitar Hero headphones. Tell us what your rock battle anthem would be and you're in the running to win! Another animated medal up for grabs is the MyPSP medal, just answer a few questions about the site and it's all yours! The site has only just launched and already it's enjoying one of the strongest first couple of weeks we've seen. If you haven't checked it out yet it is absolutely full of talk about every TV show currently hot. The guys over there have been busy updating all the TV show lists with info, episode guides and even schedules. A big thank you goes out to everyone that has helped it get off the ground and this week it has got it's very first medal!

The animated MyTelly medal went live yesterday, and it's pretty simple to get. Post in the thread when you joined (if the stats tell us anything everyone will answer day one, seriously the traffic was insane!), what you like about the site and what your favourite show is. Like we said at the start this isn't going to be all Admin run events, but the thing is we don't know what you guys are doing and what you want to promote. Perhaps you've got a clan night for Metal Gear Solid Online or Call of Duty 4. Maybe you've got a time trials compo running in the forums for Mario Kart Wii, or maybe you're organizing a group to go to a gaming or anime convention. There's no real limits on what we want to put in this, so if you have anything at all just email the details (and links if you've got some) to community@mymedia.net.au and we'll take a look see!

Any feedback at all is good, whether it be about the format, or what's included or how often you think these should come out.
