The Nintendo DS's Picto chat which is seen on Nintendo DS/Lite/i is built in software which enables Nintendo DS users to wirelessly communicate among each other through built in software. Amongst a chat room, up to 16 users can chat amongst themselves whilst among 60 feet of each other. Nintendo claims that 60 feet is the maximum limit that the DS system can wirelessly interact with others however it has been reported by individuals to have reached up to 300 feet. The DS Picto Chat itself uses either the stylus or the D Pad to draw or type. It is a fairly straight forward program which can be allot of fun if there are enough participants. The reason I am rating this 4 out of 10 is that I believe Nintendo could have done a better job in the wireless interaction distance department. Being that pictochat can only reach other users for up to 60 feet makes the feature virtually useless if you don’t know anyone else with a DS or live a significant distance from a neighbour with a DS.
