The official way to get Darkrai is to get the pass to the hotel in Canalave City. Sadly you can only get this item through Nintendo Events.

Anyway, enter the hotel and spend a night there, and the next morning you'll be able to take the ferry to Newmoon Island. Darkrai lives here.

lol, I must admit I knew of its hacked nature, but the reason I said it was legit was because I obtained it off the GTS.

Besides that, I do not use him any longer. My team consists of Pokemon that are DV trained very well (I have much exp in this) and yeh... No restrictions, apart from NO legendaries... Umm, lemme go get my FC for ya!
