DSorganize
DSorganize is a homebrew application that turns your DS into a PDA it has an organizer, picture viewer, text reader, scribble pad, day planner, clock, calendar, file manager, mp3 player and many more.....
DSorganize also has a great feature that lets you add plugins to it so far there is a genesis emulator, Bible Text Reader...
DSorganize is one of the best homebrew applications for DS and is as close as you are gonna get to a PDA without buying one!

Moonshell
Moonshell is the multimedia player for the DS, once you have Moonshell you do not need another media player infact it is so widely used it is now included in the R4 kernel download. You could say it is the industry standard.
Moonshells music player supports: MP3, OGG, MOD, SPC, MDX, GBS, HES, NSF, XM, MIDI and ACC which is pretty much format you would ever need
Moonshell can play video in DPG format using the converter DPGenc or alternatively BatchDPG (I find it gives a better picture) you can convert your AVI's into DPG files
And text files such as: .TXT .DOC .RTS....etc
and it can even be Skinned!!!!!

Homebrew Games
Warcraft: Tower Defense
This is a direct port of Warcraft: Tower Defense to the DS for those who don't know the game basically you have to defend the objective and little monsters: people riding dragons, dwarfs, elves....etc will try and destroy it and you have to place and upgrade the Towers to stop them from reaching the objective. It is a strategy game and you control it with the touch screen.

Doom and Quake
Doom and Quake are probably the most popular homebrew games on DS and they are lots of fun! they are of course direct ports of the original doom and quake games a great classic FPS a bit of fun but its no M:PH

Storm The House
Played this game for hours simple addictive fun you have to stop the rebel gunmen from reach your house and you can upgrade weapons hire your own henchman and even get god like powers!

CnC (Command and Conquer)
Another direct port of one the best selling RTS games in Command and Conquer you fight against futuristic alien races, kind of like a future version of Age of Empires. Now this is till in production but from what i last heard it is nearing completion so watch it closely and you may just get to play one of the greatest RTS games ever on your DS!

This project is a direct port of Lemmings and includes over 200 levels of lemmings fun it requires a bit of patching to get started but after that its time for those lemmings to die serving you! In the good old lemmings way

people have a misconception flashcarts are all about illegally downloading ROMS, its good to break that misconception.

Haven't you just linked everyone to the Quake 1 update in the second link?
The original website is here: quake.drunkencoders.com/ with links to the binary code used with Quake 1's .pak files.
I can't say the same about the files you've linked for Doom as I haven't tested them.

Treasures Of Gaia
This is basically a map reader for the DS and from what I have seen it works very well it resembles Google maps and is perfect for the road, but this is not only what this publisher makes there is also a weather program which gives you weather in all major cities and a few more take a look and see what you find
