yes can someone tell me how to make doom and quake run?

Im pretty sure my BeUp only started working when i moved to Wireless router.

Ok I Have an R4 + 2GB MicroSD, Also I use a Nintendo Wifi Connector

The hombrew I use is Moonshell Mostly (its movies books and music) But of course I use ComicbookDS when I feel like a comic and I was using LMP-ng until I opted for Moonshell

The average user I would say only needs Moonshell! Then you have everything you need:

In Moonshell I Currently Have:

• Whole Music Collection (500MB)
• Pokemon Episodes
• The Life Of Brian

No! Just my current stuff! I try to only put that on their os I don't fill up stuff! I have over 10GB of music!!!

What was it that you use to convert video files? i've forgotten myself, also what settings do you find is the best?

Psshaw, 10gb? thats still tiny

Granted there's only 12gb on the pc, though in total i have near 40gb of music, that is, if the discs they were on weren't stuffed so i could transfer them back >.<

though really at any one time 1 or 2 gb of music would do me, as far as holding it on the DS at least.

BatchDPG is the program, you posting in the guide so why not check it in formation on BatchDPG is in Moonshell.

There are a lot of variables so I doubt I can help with a specific problem you may have though there is a forum so google Doom DS and find a forum and see if there is a step by step tutorial

ps. I prefer to play doom on my iRiver H10!!

I have been playing with Flickbook. masscat.afraid.org/ Its a homebrew application that allows you to create animations on your DS like you used to do in the corner of your math book and then flick the pages to make it animate.
Below is my demo. This 15 second video at 12fps consists of 180 frames.

By spending the money on a flash cart you unleash the true power of the DS. It will become a PDA, eBook reader, movie player, MP3 Player, picture viewer, and what ever else people have come up with. Oh yeah plus homebrew games can be of a very high standard. DS quake is very good and I heard they are working on Quake 2 now.

There are so many emulators available for a wide range of platforms. The beauty of this is most of the games have become abandonware so are legal to download. My opinion is your $80 on a flash cart will keep you busier than a console game. You will have more uses for your DS so will use it more often. I take mine with me everywhere I go as I treat it as a PDA. If I am on a train or having a slack night at work I just pop on a movie and off I go. Its easier than lugging a Laptop around and with a good set of head phones the sound is great. If you listen to MP3's you can close the DS and just have it in your pocket. By pushing the shoulder buttons you cam change songs.

Get a Flash Cart, I recommend the Supercard SD one, see my review in the accessories section under flash carts.

Getting doom to run was fairly easy.

You just need to download dsdoom.googlecode.com/ which contains the shareware version of quake and required files for the DS.

Copy doom.wad, prboom.wad and prboom.cfg to the root of your flash cart file system. The .nds file can be run from anywhere. If you have the full version of doom copy the .wad file from that and rename it to doom.wad and replace the shareware copy of the file.

Just run doom.nds and you should be fine. If you still have problems try DLDI patching doom.nds with the correct DLDI file for your flash cart.

Whoa whoa whoa, just to clarify.

Abandonware is not legal.

If a game has not been declared to be in the public domain, either by the copyright expiring or the copyright holder releasing the game into the public domain, it is not legal to download it. It is piracy, even if the game is not being sold in any form anymore.

That said, carry on.

Oh did I say abondonware..... Umm I meant freeware......

Anyway while you are here check out my latest homebrew review.

Flickbook masscat.afraid.org/ has been updated to version 0.3. New features include a bigger drawing area, more colours and the use of layers. I will have a new movie out in the coming weeks made with the updated version. This time I will include sound which will also be generated with a DS just to keep it all made by a DS. Well mostly!
