yeah but you would look silly trying to use it while walking around, small portable gizmos can be really handy.


Last night I bought an ipod nano 2GB for $24...ok I used my credit card award points, so waiting for delivery now.

Well when I see someone walking around with a 360 on their cabk,a tv in their arms and someone holding a controller then I will do the same Simply, you pay for what you get. If you want something thats potable you may have to pay more because its more convenient.

I know, hey? You wouldn't even get to listen to all of it. I have 1.1GB of songs, but only really listen to 600MB of it.

Lemme think.

Nothing in the way of portable gadgets (aside from the R4 in my DS which lets me play text adventures and point-and-click games from the days of yore). But I do have some interesting PC thingies.


Zalman Surround Sound Headphones. The wings jutting out of each earpiece are actually separate speakers that deliver positional audio in Discrete 5.1. Very clear sound, and obviates the need for wall-mounted surround speakers. No subwoofer (duh).


Wolf Claw Devour gaming pad. Gaming on a regular keyboard means your fingers are bunched together, and you often have to move too far to hit a key. With this, my hand is relaxed, fingers well-spaced, and all the keys used in a WASD configuration are within easy reach, requiring no wrist movement.


Logitech G3 gaming mouse. More than double the resolution of a typical mouse (up to 2000DPI) and a button that changes the resolution on-the-fly. I can move a crosshair a single pixel on the screen.

Headphones: $70+
Devour pad: $65+
G3 mouse: $90 (I got it on sale for $60) or you could get one of the newer Gx cordless mice varieties for like $150. I just didn't buy into the whole idea of adjustable internal weights.

I should say now that the surround sound headphones do actually require a sound card that supports at least 5.1 output. That means three jacks.


You might also be interested in the Belkin Nostromo N52, but in my opinion it has too few buttons immediately available (it can do like 100 buttons, but you need to use a Shift button to toggle the button functions) and contorts your wrist very badly. Your hand naturally sags down at your wrist, and using that device makes your wrist upturned in an unnatural way. Looks good, though.
