The Ps2 has sold like 140 million consoles worldwide. The DS has sold 63 million consoles worldwide. It'll take quite a massive effort to beat the Ps2 since it isn't even half-way yet.

THe PS2 has been around 10 years. I believe that the DS Lite will be replace/upgraded well before its fifth year anniversary.

For a handheld hitting 3 years it has sold very well.
