Software \ Games for girls

Hi everyone. I have just recently bought myself a Black DS lite. I bought myself Cooking Mama 2 for the missus to play and she is having very much fun with that game - what happened to me .

Are there any particular games that are as fun as Cooking Mama 2? I am not sure what games to buy for her that are fun, short and entertaining?

Any suggestions would be appreciated

I agree it's probably better to classify them as 'casual games' they are often associated with girls but that is not necessarily the case. Heaps of girls like 'hardcore' games and heaps of guys like 'casual' games.

Why don't you ask her to have a look around and see if she can find something she likes? That way she'd get something that she would like and actually play.

By the standards of this site, I'm positively ancient, and I'm not really interested in nintendogs or brain training...okay, okay, addicted to Picross, guilty as charged. (Now where did I put my copy of metroid...)

Well Im a guy and I bought Princess Peach! And i love that game; not to mention i have a younger sister! but thats besides the point girls and guys are among regulars gamers! though less in numbers!

Brain training is good, but I found myself a little bored with it after a while, haven't played it in ages - he'll be cranky at me when I turn it back on again Big Brain Academy however, is a much better take on the whole brain puzzles thing. Lots of mini games and seperate skill levels make it suitable for any gamer.

Mario Party 8? Another one I got quite bored with quickly. But for someone that has only been introduced to games it would be a good bit of fun, I think.

Club House Games? I bought this for my Mum and she loves it.

Then there's always Tetris! And as Guyvies said, the mini games in New Super Mario Bros. sucked me right in, the main game was fun too, and not too tricky.

The brain training games are okay but I get bored with them pretty quickly.

I too take offense to labeling things girls/guys... you like what you like, and what is wrong with that? Parents that push 'girl' things on girls like dolls and such, and same with boys like baseball/cars/trucks/guns or whatnot... that is just wrong... let kids play with what they want to play with, do what THEY want to do... dont force things on them just because it is what you think/want them to like or do... and this includes religion! let the kids choose on their own when old enuff to do so... dont impose upon them your beliefs just because your family did/might have... free thinking for all!

Diary girl is a new one that sounds like it caters to a girls fancy tho..
