Mine would have to be Mannequins! *shudders* There's something about them that's just not right.
Also pulling the curtains when it's pitch black outside - it's just looking into the darkness and not knowing what's out there. Scary Stuff!

nyltiak: The first episode of the new Doctor Who featured ramaging shop dummies if you want a good scare. I think there might have been another episode ages ago that had mannequins in it too...okay, just did a search and I think it was "Spearhead from Space" during Jon Pertwee's run. (ah, I love Dr Who...use to scare me silly, but I'd watch every episode I could, with Dad's hand covering my eyes, just peeking through the gaps in his fingers )

A recent ep which I think matches the scariest ones I saw as child is "Blink". Scariest. Angel statues. Ever. Highly recommend it.

Anyway, sorry for rambling.

Agreed I hate wasps as well as massive red backs It's never good to open the shed door to see a monster of a red back scatter into the darkness

Yeah I saw that 'Blink' episode. Doctor Who is pretty cool. But it's more the mannequins in the museums that get to me (the ones that look life-like). There's some in the War memorial here in Canberra that just completely freak me out!
