well this is a real battle between 2 consoles. But now i am buying a new console and am not sure which to pick. My brother has a 360 along with most of my mates but ive heard from one of them that its better to go with PS3... so now im stuck and need your opinion...

My advice: look at the games out on each platform, and decide which range you like better.

I like the PS3 because it comes with everything out of the box the only thing you need to buy is a mic for online play. I use my Ps3 for everything, BluRa player, DVD player, CDs, MP3s, Divx and so on, it's very handy.

For the recored I have a Wii as well whcih I thought was was great until I finished Zelda, Wii Sports, God Father and RE4 now for the past 4 months it has been gathering dust. This should change when Wii Fit and Mario Kart come out.
The Wii had limited software when it first hit the market and so did the PS3 but now the PS3 game library is continually expanding with some top titles just around the corner. Personally I think it's worth spending the extra cash for one.
I just recently purchased a 320gb external HD for it which I've filled with media and this has just made the PS3 even more versatile.
I think this is the first time a company has made a decent multimedia system even though it's a little pricey you get what you pay for.

Actually the 360 has superior online play. The Wii's online is pretty much lame and unreliable. Hopefully that'll change once WiiWare is available.

Anyway i would get whichever system interests you the most like who has the most interesting games and which of their online connectivity is the best for you. Just remeber that both system will have the same graphics and most of the third party games will also end up on each system.

I myself have a PS3 and loving each and every minute of it. Couldn't go with a 360 as i don't want to pay for online and afraid of getting the dreaded RROD.

*Halo and GoW1 and 2 is coming soon.
*Great online arcade.
*The internet compatability it already has will make any online junkie happy 4ever.
*can play Hi-Def movies.

Con's:
*Stupid point system to make people feel better and brag.
*Sometimes files of Halo and etc will be switched due to some glitch.
*You have to pay for Xbox Live while you can plug and internet chord into the PS3 and get free internet through your computer.
*Movie stores like wal-mart and etc will stop selling Hi-Def movies because the Blue-Ray looks sharper and has better picture. (CONFIRMED AND NOT A MYTH)
