Hardware \ Which is louder,a DS lite or a Nintendo ds original?

i was wondering which one of the game systems is louder in volume because my mate has a original and it sounds louder then my ds lite? thnkx latAH

There is no difference because they both have the 64 channel sound. It may because the phat ds has more soundwave holes than the nintendo ds lite since the nintendo dslite has only six or nine and the phat ds has about 12 or 15 holes or more. I hope that explains it.

havnt found earphones that do a darn yet... got an audio game grip and that jacks the sound up to a nice level, and the grips are nice as well... a ds lite only thing, but nice... and if you are one of the broken hinge crew and your top is floppy, it locks the top up as well! so win win situation without having to replace the case just yet... Have only seen em at Kmart thus far, and they are 20 bucks... comes in all colors if you can find them...

to the question tho, the phats are a bit louder than the lites... have 2 phats, and 2 lites, phats win out on volume every time...

for a little extra fun with like EBA, just plug in your computer speakers! and enjoy the music at insane levels!

the in the ear canal style? no, havnt tried those... just used some headphones from cheap to moderate, and have tried same with earbuds... my earbuds that came with my mp3 player do a great job with my mp3 player, but not the DS...

figured the ear canal type would be the best, but i am not that worried about it to dish out cash on a good pair that over all i will hardly ever really use alot... the speaker grips give the boost i need, and i dont really care if others can hear it lol... but from my past of many many rock/metal concerts, my unbelievable car sound system, headphones when at home to keep the neighbors on the next block from complaining about my music, let alone the closer neighbors!!! throw into that mix planes and lots and lots of heavy duty gunfire, and well i could use some battery powered amplified ear canal style headphones and possibly still think they are weak...

but i love rock music. it's supposed to be played out loud. can't have any other way.
