Pokémon \ Building a Wi-Fi battle team/strategy?

Alright this should be a fairly easy question for someone that knows their stuff to answer so here goes.

My question is what are the key things people need to keep in mind when building a pokemon Wi-Fi team and selecting an appropriate strategy? (And hopefully not get you owned) e.g. How many sweepers, holders, annoyers, healers to include and stuff like that > Just the basics really.

Thanx

1. don't teach a pokemon more 1 of the same type
2.never use moves like hyper-beam or roar of time

3.have different types of moves
so u can get super effectives on any pokemon
4.if your pokemon is high in attack teach it sword dance
(mix's attack)

5.EV train
6.only teach thunder/solarbeam if u have rain dance/sunny day

1. That's a lie. Don't listen to it.

2. This is true. Listen to this.

3. This is true. Listen to this.

4. Kinda the bare basics for sweeping. If you want more info, post here and I'll tell you.

5. True, but EV training isn't easy.

As many as you want. Except for sweepers. Never have more than 3...and tha'ts the absolute limit. Walls should be about 1-2...Annoyers? Well, have as many as you want

Medicham's better

Not susceptible to psychic attacks, only real weakness is flying.

If you want to try be more annoying, Wobbuffet is especially good, although a strong Dark attack probably can still wipe it out.
2 sweepers and 1 wall would work nice, but it depends what type battles you plan to do.

No matter what, try cover as many bases as you can, play to your strengths and try remember the opponents general weaknesses. Can always load up a few Bulbapedia tabs for quick searching on some of the basics.

As for not using Electric/Normal, well Electric types are horrible, but you could give a few electric moves to those who can make a dent with them. Normal isn't all that bad though if you don't have interaction with other people/games (to be able to get a pokedex entry and hence GTS trade, I haven't WiFi battled much, but I don't recall the opponents pokemon counting to your dex).

Mainly though, try get at least one STAB for each of your pokemon that you intend to do damage with. Sweepers STAB is almost a must, Walls don't necessarily need STAB, but it certainly can help.

If your sweeper can, make it learn a move that would be super effective against the type you're weak to. Same goes for most of your team in general.

As for Medicham, I'm thinking a good STAB'd Ghost move will be able to take it out in one shot. Could pack a Dark move to counter the Ghost types.

ill tell ya great stuff
if you wanna rage your opponent and make him bash his ds heres your tips.especially if a thin ds comes out it will break easily.
STRATEGY A!
1.get a gengar
2.use hypnosis
3.then dream eater
4.keep on with dream eater!!

STRATEGY B!

another cool strategy which will make your opponent rage quit Pokemon is
1. get a Pokemon that can learn hypnosis and swords dance. and 2 strong moves.
2. use hypnosis or the other move maybe yawn any move that makes them sleep.
3. now that their sleeping use swords dance for about 3 turns or if u want more keep going.
4. after 3 or more sword dances you should hit them with a powerful move like earthquake, or surf or another powerful one.

aerodrome done strategy b and it made me rage
id prefer strategy b.
actually strategy A is pretty crap. but it made me rage with no items so i thought I'd put it.
hope i helped
