It's been a while since we've tracked the consoles' worldwide sales figures. With each company recently releasing their end of fiscal year information, now seems as good a time as any for an update.
As of March 31, 2010, the Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo DS had sold the following units worldwide:
As was the case last year, the Wii is out in front and has almost doubled the PS3's sales. However, Sony's console is fast approaching the Xbox 360, which had a considerable head start. It'll be interesting to see how the releases of Natal and PS Move affect this year/next year's sales.
