Earlier today Nintendo revealed both Wii and DS sales were down in their last financial year. However, it was still their third best year ever. That's right, a 21% drop in Wii sales and they've still manged to post their third best year of all time.

70.93 million Wii consoles have been sold to date, including 20.53 million last year. That puts it well ahead of the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Meanwhile the DS has sold 128.89 million units in its lifetime. 27.11 million consoles were sold last year, including 14.80 million DSi consoles and 2.08 million DSi XL units.
