Review of Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney [DS]

Phoenix Wright is a rookie defense attorney. You will be playing the role of Phoenix in this game.

GAMEPLAY
To summarise the gameplay, it is more of an interactive story book, except this is such a great concept and it works flawlessly.

As Phoenix you will be playing in 2 distinct modes:
- Investigation which involves searching for evidence from the crime scences and talkign to different people to gain enough information.
- Court Trials which involves presenting evidence, contradicting testimonies to eventually prove your clients innocence.
Out of the 2 they are both integral to the gameplay mechanics but i personally prefered the court trials.

The game follows a systematic order which you will not be aware of until you discover what info you need before you can contiue.

Each of the 5 cases in the game are execelent as all are smart and humourous in their respects.

If your one that hates to read...then this may be your answer, as it does involve alot of reading but its actuaklly entertaining as the characters have their unique personalities.

GRAPHICS
No 3D graphics here, but the character art is pretty well done. Cartoon graphics as each character will have up to 10 different poses. These may be repetitive but they still seem to work really well. Nothing better than phoenix slamming his hands on the table. Not to mention the phoenix face after saying something incorrect.

ADDITIONAL
THis game also utilises the mcrophone as you can press y and yell either OBJECTION or HOLD IT! This is sure to make you feel like a dickhead but in the end...if you home alone...why not!

OVERALL
Phoenix Wright is one addictive game. Each case seems to add something special to the story line and you get involve in Phoenix's life as a lawyer.
I for one love this game and have played Phoenix Wright 2 and love that. A review for number 2 will be complete in the future.

Like a good twist? Like a good story line? Want to play as a defense attorney and spot contradictions? Want to yell 'OBJECTION' or 'HOLD IT'? Then this game is a must buy!
