Super Mario 64 DS - 9/10

Story: Well the story is exactly like Super Mario 64 on
the N64 which was a classic.
If you havn’t heard about this well ill tell you all.
You begin outside the castle the first thing will be Peaach reading a Letter to you about her wanting you to come to her castle for a cake she baked.
But sadly the evil king koopa Bowser has kidnapped her so you must save her by collecting stars to progress through the castle.




Gameplay: If you thought there is no point of buying this game if you got Super Mario 64 well your ….WRONG.
Because this has more gameplay than the old one which makes it better than the other one by far.
Well there is 150 stars to collect not 120 ,to collect stars you have to complete missions in these different stages in each one their will be 1-6 missions their fun neally you wont get bored and you may find secrets in the stages which can be fun. But you would be asking yourself what is so different about the gameplay?
How do I get more stars ? Well guess what there is more stages more missions and more secrets.
When you get a certain amount of stars you can go to different stages which get harder and harder or you could vs. Bowser you vs. him 3 times at different times so get ready.
The playable character is not only Mario but you can use 3 others but you must unlock them by defeating these boses which get challenging. You can play as Mario a standard character, Luigi a high jumper, Yoshi
Can lay eggs and finally Wario he is the tough one but very slow. Not only they can do normal attacks like Mario can fly and there is metal Mario which can go under water.
But there is an addition to this game also not only there is adventure but there is mini games and there are lots they are in different sections. You unlock them by playing adventure mode it aint hard.

Graphics: This really deserves 10 out of 10 its such a huge difference to the one on N64 really if you below there are 2 pictures one is the ds one the other is the N64 you will se a big difference.
The characters look good and the stages look great also and the 3D look it makes it fantastic.

Controls: The controls are alright the d-pad to move but it was annoying really wish their was a analog stck.
A to attack, B to attack and there is also touch screen so you can move the camera around or use it to play mini games that was my favourite part about the controls.


Minigame menu


Sound: Those classics again are back oh….Hazy maze, bowser themes thwomp tower all of them are coming back. it’s the same well nearly but hey what can you say if you don’t love classics put volume on mute you love it put it on high. I loved the sound.

Conclusion: Overall this game is awesome better than the one on the N64 so get this its out now nearly 2 years old and its cheap highly recommended to ds gamers.
If you havnt played the old one than buy this so you can taste one of the N64 best titles ever.
