Animal Crossing: Wild World Reviews \ Detail

Animal Crossing: Wild World. - 9/10

Animal Crossing is a Nintendo Ds games were you play yourself in a town full of animals. The animals change from game to game... but there are a few favourites that always stay...
Like Tom Nook he is a tanuki who owns the general store in the town. He also is the one that upgrades you house.
Blathers and Celeste are owls, Blathers in charge of the town's museum and Celeste runs the observatory at the top of museum. Then there is Crazy Reed, he sells furniture in a big green tent. Gracie is a giraffe who appears occasionally in town and makes you an original clothes piece; she does this by either making you wash her car. If you do a good job she will make you some clothes or she gives you a "Fashionista Quiz". The answers give her the design and you get to keep it.
Harriet is a poodle who owns the "Shampoodle" hair salon. You can only get her once you have upgraded Tom Nook’s store into Nookington's.
Jingle is a reindeer who arrives in you town around Christmas time but normally for Christmas Eve so he can give presents to the people in your town. Jingle finds it hard to recognize a face so you can sometimes get more than one gift. Joan is an old sow who comes to your town on Monday and offers his turnips for sale. Katrina is a fortune-telling cat; she can give you your fortune for the day or for you love life.
K.K. Slider is a singing dog who appears inside the coffee shop every Saturday to play his music.
The coffee shop is owned by Brewster.
Mabel and Sable are hedgehog sisters that run the clothes store named Able Sisters which is located next to Tom Nook’s.
Pelly is a female pelican who works in the post office and normally works both jobs but on rare occations a male pelican named Phyllis comes in and helps her.
Resetti is a mole at appears every time you forget to save you game. He has an anger problem so you don’t want to make him angry.
Saharah is a traveling camel that tells you to deliver an item to a person in your town and will give you a rare carpet in return. Timmy and Tommy are twin tanukis that run the top floor of Nookington's. They will try to help Tom Nook all that they can. There is also the annoying but very useful Lyle. Lyle is insurance broker. He will come at least once a week trying to sell you insurance. And last but not least Tortimer is an elderly tortoise and the major of your town. He will help you and sometimes give a present or 2.

The object of the game is to upgrade you house until you have the really BIG house. During this adventure you will have fun not only getting to know all the animals that I have listed but all the residences that live in your town. The residences can come and go with time. It mainly depends on how you treat them and your town. You have to keep you town looking nice, to make shore that weeds do not grow wild across your town, it you don’t take care of it you will lose all the residences and you might not get any more.

One of my favorite things in this game is the mushroom festival. This festival goes for 1 week. You collect mushroom from around your town and than once you have 10 you can trade them with Tortimer. He will give a piece of much furniture for every 10 you give. And the furniture can come in handy if you sign of for the “Happy Room Academy" or the HRA for short. The HRA rate you room for size, furniture and the way you present it. Some ways to yet lots of HRA points is to have full sets of the furniture (carpet, floor, bed, couch ect. ect)

Money in this game can be really hard to get. You can mainly get money from selling fruit from your or other people’s towns. The other way is to sell you furniture and/or clothing. But after a while all the fruit in your town will go and it will get hard to gain more, so you will have to plant the last of the fruit that you can find. If you grow the fruit from you or other people’s towns you can get a whole heap more money. Another way to get money is to get insurance from Lyle, say you bought a painting from Crazy Reed (and most likely it is counterfeit) you can collect insurance. You can also get insurance for bites and accidents that happen during the game.

You can also go catch fish and bugs, collect paintings and dig for fossils. Once you have got them you can take them to the museum and Blathers will store them for everyone to see. Once you have collected everything he will give you a little model of the museum. It is kind of the same with Tom Nook’s store. Once you have bought so many things he will give a little version of his store and at time you can get a member discount. The first of Tom Nook’s store is called Nook’s Cranny, after you spend do much he will upgrade his shop to Nook 'n' Go and so on until you get to Nookington's. Nookington’s is Tom Nook bigest store.

Story Line~~ 8/10

The story line in this game is pretty good. It may take a while to get all the money you need but it’s really cool to see what you make with your house the more money you spend on it.

Graphics~~ 9/10

The Graphics in this game are awesome. They are some of the best that I have seen... (But note: I have not seen too many games) The way they make the animals look is some of the best.

Control Scheme~~ 9/10

The controls in this game are start forward and easy to use. My 6 year old brother is pro at this game. So if he can work this game than anyone can.

I think this is a great reveiw but one thing...
Isn't the object of the game to become the mayor(once you get all of the golden tools you are the mayor)? I mean, yeah, it's great having a big house, but being mayor seems like it would be more important than having a big house....
Please correct me if I am mistaken.
